Help Desk Specialist Internship

Learn the "value-added" importance of an IT support professional by performing at least 216 hours at area IT Support or Help Desks operations. Receive on-the-job Help Desk environment work experience with instructor supervision in area companies. By consent of instructor, a special project or being part of the WolfPack Techies support team may be substituted for the internship. Prerequisites: Careers in IT, 10-107-111; IT Service Concepts, 10-154-122; Help Desk Tools and Techniques, 10-154-146; Computer Hardware Essentials, 10-154-189; and completion of or concurrent enrollment in Network+ Essentials, 10-150-101; Supporting Emerging Technologies, 10-154-147; A+ IT Technician, 10-154-191; and Job Search Preparation, 10-107-175.

Students have until the day before the class starts to register for online, accelerated and short-term classes. After that point, students must obtain permission from the instructor to register and will have until the last date to enroll to use the permission granted to register. For all other classes, students have until the last date to enroll if seats are available.
