Introduces Linux with a focus on system administration skills. Topics include installation, file and directory management, command execution, input/output redirection and pipes, shell scripts, network services, security, troubleshooting and the X Window system. Prerequisites: Network Essentials, 10-150-101; or CCNA 1&2: Networking and Routing Basics, 10-150-170; for IT-Programmer/Analyst students: Introduction to Programming with JavaScript, 10-152-119.

Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: for IT-Computer Systems Administration Spec, IT-Network Security Spec, and IT-Network Spec, grade of C or better in Intro to Cisco Networking, 10-150-121
