This online class requires the completion of a brief orientation in Blackboard. Copy and paste the following URL into your web browser for instructions: http://madisoncollege.edu/orientation-online-accelerated-learning. Upon completion of the orientation and assessment you will immediately be able to register for this class.

1. On average, online students should expect to budget around 3 hours of work time every week for a 1 credit online course.

2. Go to the Blackboard site, https://blackboard.madisoncollege.edu/, and ensure you can log in (using your Madison College username and password). Your online course will be available approximately one week before the start of the class and will contain further information. 1. This class is delivered exclusively online via Blackboard—there are no class meetings.
2. Students should log on to Blackboard from the Madison College home page and look for Math of Finance under My Courses. It will be available by the first official day of classes, but is typically available 2-3 days sooner. If you do not see it, be patient— that means that it is not yet ready.
3. Once the class is available, students MUST access their student email account to find a letter from the instructor. An email response to this letter is required for you to begin the class. Students who do not respond by Midnight of the first day of class risk losing their place in the class to a student on the wait list.
4. Once the class is available, students MUST log on to the Blackboard site and complete Policy Exam and Math Skills Survey Exam by Noon on Friday of the first week of classes or they will be reported as “non-attending” and will be removed from the class. This action cannot be reversed for any reason.
5. You need the textbook on the first day of class. It can only be purchased in the Madison College Truax Bookstore. It will be available approximately ten days prior to the start of classes.
6. You need reliable internet access for this class. Verify that access NOW. Don’t wait until the class begins. So too, have a backup plan if that computer access or your computer should fail.

This is a hybrid course which is a combination of face-to-face class on Monday and Wednesday, and every other Friday. The instructor will provide information on the first day of class.

This accelerated class requires the completion of a brief orientation in Blackboard. This course is offered in an accelerated format; coursework will be covered in approximately half the normal time. There are greater out of classroom expectations of students in accelerated courses. These classes are meant to accommodate the returning adult student with prior work experience.

It is essential that you purchase your textbook prior to the first day of class. There will likely be assignments due the first night of class. If there is an assignment it will be posted in the class Blackboard site.

Accelerated courses are taught using Blackboard to communicate assignments, submit assignments, work on projects, etc. Before the class starts, log in to Blackboard (using your Madison College username and password) and review the site for further information and course expectations. Your course will be available approximately one week before the start of the class.
