Character Maquette Sculpting
Credits: 0Catalog #60815628
This class is for beginners or students that have some experience sculpting and would like to learn more. Maquette is the French word fo scale model. In traditional animation, sculptors create character maquettes as 3 dimensional reference guides to aid the artists in drawing characters from all angles, whether you use your own personal character design, or a favorite film or literature character, this course will help you bring it to life in 3D. The student will create a wire armature and sculpt their maquette in polymer clay. Maquette sculpting is a great skill to add to a professional portfolio, as well as a fun hobby to enjoy for life. Students should possess basic drawing skills and a working knowledge of anatomy. Some experience or knowledge of sculpting techniques will be helpful. Students must provide their own supplies.
