Basic Motorcycle Maintenance

This course consists of lecture and discussion as well as hands on training with program bikes. Items covered may include: Drive train components; tires – selection, inspection and care; engine fluids – checking and replacement; cables – care and adjustment; brakes – types, care, replacement and adjustment, batteries – selection and care. Trouble shooting, tool requirements, shop manual usage and storage are covered. Specific questions not covered in class are addressed by the instructor as time allows.

Students have until the day before the class starts to register for online, accelerated and short-term classes. After that point, students must obtain permission from the instructor to register and will have until the last date to enroll to use the permission granted to register.
